Formerly International Games Day, International Games WEEK is a week where people in libraries all around the world play board games, card games, computer games, role-playing games and video games.  Turner Middle School has the distinction of being the only school library in Douglas County that hosts International Games Day each year.

This year, IGW will be held over 4 days- November 1st - November 4th.  November 1-3 will be from 4-6pm and will kick off the week. It will culminate on our main day, November 4th from 9:00-5:00 in the TMS Media Center.  Over 100 students from around the county will come to test their gaming skills.  We have tournaments in Blitz Chess and several video games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers U.  Super popular each year is the Werewolf LARPing game (Live Action Role Playing).  In Werewolf, students role play as helpless villagers, werewolves, and hunters in a quest to rid their village of the werewolf threat.

Another big draw is our PS4 Virtual Reality System.

At the end of the day, we crown a King or Queen of Games in Douglas County!  He or she gets to wear that title for the next year.

You may come to 1 day or all 4 days for as little or as long as you want.

Contact Mr. Lynn to learn how your can help next year! or 770-651-5514
