Many Awards for TMS' Nutrition Department

Turner's nutrition department has had a banner year. Under the leadership of Mrs. Jan Oliver and her staff, they have met a number of milestones of accomplishment. For the first time in at least six years, TMS Nutritional Staff served over 500 student breakfast items. To be exact, there were 504 students who participated in breakfast on March 2, 2018. Equally, impressive is that the nutrition team achieved a 100 on the last food inspection. That 100 comes after several 98s and a 99. They set a goal to achieve the 100 and met it. Based off those and other accomplishments, Mrs. Oliver was selected as the Douglas County School System (DCSS) Nutrition Manager of the Year for the 2017-2018 school year. Without a doubt, her staff contributed to all of those accomplishments. Lastly, DCSS School Nutrition department offered managers an opportunity to attend the School Nutrition's Annual National Convention in Vegas. This convention convenes over 7,000 members each year where classes and various seminars are conducted. There were many requirements from which the managers were judged. Again, Turner's  School Nutrition Manager, Mrs. Jan Oliver, won!!!! What a great year.
