International Games WEEK 11/1-11/4

International Games Day is now International Games WEEK! The cost is $10 if you come Saturday only and $15 if you want a 4-day badge to all events which includes a commemorative badge and guaranteed access to PSVR. This is open to all Middle School and High School students. REGISTER HERE! 

Below is a list of some of the activities that we will have…            

 

Wednesday Nov 1- 3:30-6:00 – Blitz Chess Tournament-- 5 minutes on the clock! Do you have the speed and skills to checkmate your opponent before the clock strikes 0:00?


Thursday
Nov 2- 3:30-6:00 Board Game Mania!  Play some of the greatest board games out there- Carcassonne, Settlers of Cataan, Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, and more!


Friday
Nov 3- 3:30-6:30- Pokemon/Yugioh/Magic:TG tournaments-  We will have card tournaments in Pokemon, Yugioh, and Magic: The Gathering.  Bring your own cards to join in the fun!  If you don't play those games, come play other card games with us like Fluxx, Boss Monsters, and more! 


Saturday
Nov 4- 9am-5pm- Splatoon 2, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart Tournaments;   Bring your Switch to play in the Splatoon 2 tournament.  We will be playing Mario Kart and Smash Bros on Game Cube, Wii, and Wii 2 (and maybe the Switch if enough players bring it).  We will also be Werewolf LARPing all-day!  This is a MUST play if you have never played a Live Action Role Playing game.


Playstation VR will be available every day. New games include Resident Evil Biohazard and Eagle Flight (come fly like an eagle!).  If you have never played Playstation VR, you are truly missing out.  Get your 4 day pass so you won't miss out on playing some of the most immersive games on consoles today!  Only players with a 4 day pass are gauranteed to get on the PSVR.

FAQs

Q: Is transportation provided?

A:  Unfortunately, no.  Parents are responsible for all transporation for all days

 

Q:  Do students have to stay for the entire time?

A:  No.  Students can come late or leave eary.

 

Q:  Do students have to come all 4 days if they buy a 4 day pass?

A:  No.  Students can come as little or as much as they want.

 

Q:  Is food provided? 

A:  No, but there is a concession stand.  Pizza will be available at luchtime.  Prices are resonably priced.

 

Q:  Can I bring my own games and systems?

A:  Students are encouraged to bring their own portable systems and games.  Students are not expected to bring consoles or games however, unless they talk to Mr. Lynn first to see if there is a need for that game.  We try to only get 4 player local games as this allows the maximum amount of players to play.

 

Q:  Where can I store my valueables when I am not using them.

A:  Students may store their valuables in the Media Center office when not using them.    We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

 

Q:  What do you do with the money raised?

A:  We put the money back into gaming.  Last year we were able to purchase a PS4 and a Virtual Reality system with the money raised.  We have also bought a 50" TV and Wii U in past years.
