Education

Mr. Ferguson graduated from Astronaut High School in Titusville, Florida.  He received a B. S. degree from Northwest Bible College in 1987 and a Master of Music Education degree from Valdosta State University in 2004.  Mr. Ferguson also attended Lee University, East Coast Bible College, and Lander University.



Experience

Before coming to Turner Middle School Mr. Ferguson worked at Berrien High School where he served as the chorus director and Berrien Middle School where he taught 6th Grade Beginning Band.  Prior to that, Mr. Ferguson served as Assistant Band Director at Dublin High School from 2004 - 2007 where he assisted with the marching band, taught 5th Grade Elementary Band, High School Chorus, High School Symphonic Band, High School Jazz Band, and was the Literary Coordinator.  He also served as the Director of Bands for McCintosh County from 2007 - 2010 where he taught high school band, middle school band, and elementary band. 



Bio

I am married to Regeania Ferguson, my wife of 32years, and we have two adult sons. I was born and reared in Titusville, Florida where I participated in middle school band and marching band, concert band, and jazz band at the high school level.  I also played drum set for the high school show choir; "Peacemakers".  I have a B.S. in Christian Education and Church Music from Northwest Bible College, Minot, North Dakota and a Master of Music Education from Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Georgia.  As a percussionist, I was a performing member of the Lander University Concert and Jazz Bands and the Valdosta State University Wind Ensemble.  I have served as a pastor, state evangelist, minister of music, church musician, private music instructor, and free lance percussionist.  My favorite color is blue, I wish I had more opportunities to act, I like the Dallas Cowboys, and I love playing drums and piano.
